With another cohort of career hungry school leavers just over the horizon and the UK economy still in recession, one of the few growth sectors offering real career opportunities for bright young minds is IT.

The National IT Partnership (NiTP) – part of Aspire Achieve Advance Limited (3AAA) - is a training partnership specialising in the delivery of IT apprenticeships based at Oaklands College in St Albans. NiTP is recruiting 25 16-18 year olds for places on its IT apprenticeship at Oaklands College in St Albans starting in July 2012.

Keith Holmes, Managing Director, 3AAA, explains: "NiTP works in partnership with Oaklands College in St Albans and has quickly become the provider of choice for IT Apprenticeships for many of the area's local and national businesses. Our strong relationship with employers large and small enables us to secure full-time employment for our IT apprentices, whilst providing our employers with highly motivated, committed young people that bring new, relevant and up-to-date skills into the work place and IT environment.

"Our track record of success is second to none. Apprentices learn in high-spec IT training rooms with access to excellent equipment, enabling the apprentice to learn the essential knowledge required to be successful in IT. This knowledge is underpinned through practical on-the-job experience gained, whilst working with their employer.  Employers range in scale from small, bespoke software and web design companies to large IT support departments with some of the leading names in business.

Keith adds, "UK businesses expect to recruit over 400,000 IT specialists in the next five years and now is the time to start your IT career with an IT Apprenticeship."

NiTP's apprenticeship programme is skilling the next generation of high quality IT Support Technicians through its high quality Level 3 training, including the CompTIA A+ and Microsoft professional qualifications.

NiTP's Advanced Apprenticeship for IT and Telecoms Professionals is a 12 month commitment leading to qualifications including:

•    Diploma in ICT Professional Competence

•    Certificate in ICT Systems and Principles

•    CompTIA A+

•    Microsoft Technical Associate

•    Key Skills Application of Number, Communication and ICT Level 2

Successful apprentices can look forward to typical career paths including IT Technician, IT and Telecoms Engineer, Network Engineer, Network Administrator, Call Centre IT Help Desk and Systems Analyst.

Further NiTP academies are located in Walsall, Tamworth, Oxford, Enfield, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Bedford, Milton Keynes and Birmingham.
