Police release CCTV image after mobile phone is taken in New Look, St Albans

Police have released a CCTV image of two women they would like to talk to after a mobile phone was taken from the counter in New Look, St Albans.

The phone's owner accidentally left it on the counter of the fashion store in The Maltings Shopping centre in St Albans on Thursday 15th September, whilst she was paying for items. This happened about 3.20pm and later a woman took it from the counter.
Herts Police believe that the women pictured above may have witnessed the crime or be able to offer their assistance with the investigation.
PC Shaun Woods, investigating from St Albans Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We are really keen to speak to the people in the footage as they may be able to assist the investigation, or for anyone who recognises them to get in touch.
"We would also ask if anyone knows anything about the incident to please contact us."
