Snow! School Closures, Late Openings, Safety Warnings for Schools in St Albans - Monday 6th February 2012

Following the weekend's snow fall, here is the status on School Closures, Late Openings, and Safety Warnings for Schools in St Albans as it stands currently:
Closures
Aboyne Lodge is closed due to it's boiler failing. Parent consultations tonight are postponed.
Nicholas Breakspear RC is closed due to risk of transport issues and the need to prepare the site.
Townsend Cof E is closed due to the site being unsafe. Local roads to the school are also unsafe.
Late Openings
Camp Primary and Nursery is open from 10am today to allow time for staff and pupils to travel in safely. Gates will open at 9.45am. Children are advised to wear warm clothing and sensible footwear. Care should be taken when entering the school site.
Satey Warnings and Requests
Bernards Heath are asking that children not to go on to the playground but to stick to paths. Children should also bring spare shoes.
Killigrew Nursery and Primary are asking for children to bring wellies!
St Alban & St Stephen Catholic Infants & Nursery are open but are asking children to use the main entrance and Camp Road gate. They have made a request for help to clear paths so take a shovel if you have the time to spare.
St Alban & St Stephen RC Junior is open but the school have asked pupils to take extra care.
