St Albans MP, Anne Main has secured a debate on Network Rail next month, following her leading a proposal for a debate to the Backbench Business Committee.

Anne Main has been consistently representing St Albans commuters and rail users in holding Network Rail to account, revealing recently that 63% of delays on First Capital Connect were as a direct result of Network Rail's failings.

Hearing that she had secured the debate, Anne said: "I know that my constituents and passengers all over the country have suffered from a poor rail service for far too long. As the figures show, Network Rail is at the heart of this poor service. Network Rail's failings have got so severe that they have breached their franchising licence. It is high time we had a debate on Network Rail and 27 Members of Parliament from all three major parties support me on this. I am pleased that the Backbench Business Committee has decided to allocate this debate and I look forward to hearing the views of all Members of the House on this important issue".

The debate will take place on Thursday 2nd February 2012, from 2:30pm until 5:30pm and will be led by the St Albans MP.

If you've got a view on Network Rail, post it below and we'll send a link to Anne Main's office prior to the debate:
