Teen sexually assaulted in St Albans

Police have launched an appeal after a teenager was 'touched inappropriately' during a sexual assault in St Albans.

A teenager was sexually assulted on Hatfield Road, St Albans on Saturday last week
The female victim had been walking on Hatfield Road towards St Albans rail station from the town centre on Saturday, February 16, when she was approached from behind by a man who then touched her inappropriately.
The teenage victim managed to get away, and the man walked off in the direction of the station.
The offence occurred sometime from 10.15pm to 10.30pm between turnings for Upper Lattimore Road and Beaconsfield Road.
The offender is described as a man of Asian appearance, a 5ft 5in tall, heavy build and with short black hair. He wore a dark black jacket and jeans.
DC Ailsa Turnbull, from the Local Crime Unit in St Albans, said: "I would urge anyone who saw this incident to contact police as soon as possible. Or, if you believe you may have been a victim of this same offender, please also get in touch. Your information may be vital to catching and prosecuting this man."
