The St Albans branch of Cafe Rouge is set within an impressive building with a beautiful glass domed roof. It also boasts an imposing bar. You can get all the usual Cafe Rouge french-inspired dishes here, including good value set meals. At quieter times, it's a nice place to pop in to for coffee and cake.

The Caf£ouge in ST Albans is a must if you are in town this summer, there are barely any walls, instead the Caf£ouge venue is housed in a glass house with multi coloured windows which bring in a fantastic amount of light in the summer. The staff are polite and the food is delicious!

i have mainly only been to cafe rouge to eat meals, but have recently popped in for a cup of coffee. i do love to art deco building with the high glass roofs which does attract me to go there for a drink or two.
half way down holywell hill, its just far enough away to avoid the heaving 'takeaway' coffee culture.
a very pleasant experience

ReportA friend and I went to Cafe Rouge for afternoon tea; I had only ever been to a Cafe Rouge before for a meal, and I was pleasantly surprised that we were welcomed even though we weren't going to eat.
We had a couple of cups of tea each and sat for a while chatting. We didn't get hassled to move, and the staff gave us lots of space. The only slight downside to this was getting their attention when we did want to leave. But in general it was a lovely calm experience - perfect for tea and a chat.
