Police Close London Colney "Cannabis Factory"

Hertfordshire police have shut down a "cannabis factory" in London Colney. Acting on information provided by members of the public, the London Colney Neighbourhood Team raided the property in Cherry Train Avenue last Friday.
About 350 plants, believed to be cannabis, with an estimated street value of between £100,000 to £140,000 were discovered in the address. Police arrested and later charged Toan Tran, aged 37, with the cultivation of cannabis.
Tran was remanded in custody and appeared before Central Herts Magistrates on February 21st where she pleaded guilty to the offence. She is due to be sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on March 22, 2011.
The warrant was executed by PC Andy Shepherd with the assistance of PCSOs Debbie Daniels, Ben Richards and Gary Bailey and intervention officers with the landlord of the property.
