    I assume that includes all houses in the St Albans District including Harpenden and other surrounding villages/towns.  That figure doesn't suprise me though.

    For info I brought a flat at around £175,000 in Spring 2007 (moved in April 2007).
    One of the other flats in the block with older kitchen, but has carport (I just have a space) and shorter lease is currently on the market for... £175,000!
