hello mimi123,
try Cote (OK, not a pub, but very child friendly), Foragers at the Verulam Arms, any of the ones down Albert Street/Sopwell Lane (some have good gardens too, great in spring and summer, if we get one this year). Whereabouts are you - are you thinking town or outskirts?

ReportThe White Hart Tap in Keyfield Terrace has always worked well for us and our children (now 8 and 2). There's no high chairs but they do make children welcome and will do child's portions of many of the dishes on the menu. In summer there's a good sized pub garden for them to enjoy. The Slug and Lettuce is child friendly too and does a good selection of kid's meals.
Thank you Deb... That is good to know, especially when friends come to visit with kids too, so we know where to head off... Life. Saver

If you fancy a trip just beyond St Albans, check out Moor Mill, Smug Oak Lane
St. Albans AL2 3PN. It's a Beefeater with a watermill, with ducks and fish to feed - you can buy fish pellets out of their dispenser for 20p a go. Also has fenced playground area and loads of outdoor seating. Perfect in the summer. You may also want to take wellies and a fishing net to visit the stream down there. There's a coffee place there too - can't remember whether it's Starbucks or Costa but it's one of the big chains. Enjoy trying out the pubs!
Thank you Debs a million!! You really helped me with this matter and will be fun knowing that when we arrive we won't see or be greeted by a sign: no dogs no kids.....i have already made a list of all the pubs that you suggested and will be visiting them very soon....
