Have you got an idea of the location you want to be in Chris? The 1930's houses on Folly Lane might fit your bill as they have good room sizes, or an ex-local authority house near Watsons Walk / Sopwell Lane, or one of the larger cottages in Bernards Heath perhaps? May be worth putting flyers through the doors of the sort of houses you like - seen Phil & Kirsty doing it on Location, Location and it works for them sometimes! Good luck!
Well anywhere within 1 mile of the station, but trying to stick to areas around Folly Avenue, round Bernards Heath and the north part of Fleetville and places like Cornwall Rd off London Rd.
It just seems very competitive and lots of people seem to be going into rented before buying so they can then move quickly without a chain.
I think it's just tough in St Albans as lots of people want to live there and prices are high.
Good suggestion on putting flyers through, we've thought of this but might give it a go.
Cheers for your help.
Hi Chris
What agents have you been using? There are a couple I can think of that are very helpful and have good knowledge of those catchment areas. Also, you will be needing removal services if you do sell and go to rented, so you might want to give me a call :-)
