Meeting new people:

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone recommend ways to meet new people in St.Albans?

My boyfriend and I moved here in August and I'd love to get too know some new people and make some new friends.

Hi there, you can always come along to a Popdance class - we are a very friendly bunch. there is also a group called pminthepub that are meeting in the Peahen on 16th November from 2pm - business chat and friendly chat.

Welcome to St Albans!

I'm a member of the Otium gym at the Noke Thistle Hotel, which is a very friendly gym. The classes there are small and so encourage a friendly chat, plus the gym organises a fair few social events such as Race Nights, weekends away, bike rides etc.

Twitter is also a good way to network with locals - just look for people on the network in St Albans. And there's sometimes tweet ups in St Albans, which are great fun.

I can personally vouch for Popdance classes, suggested previously, as a fun way to meet friendly locals.

Myself and my fiance are in a similar position. Any more advice on good ways to meet people? We moved down from Glasgow in September so we are a long way away from friends and family down here.
