St Albans City and District Council Local Election results are being counted today, 6 May. Look out for the results on stalbanspeople later today. Nationally, the Lib Dems have lost many seats to Labour. At this point in time, with 80 out of 279 results declared, Labour have gained control of eight councils, the Lib Dems have lost control of two councils, and the Conservatives appear to be holding ground, gaining control of one council. St Albans is so grubby and depressing these days. The parking is a nightmare, I avoid the place like the plauge and go elsewhere for my shopping. Sad to see a once lovely city so down at heel. Shame on you St Albans District Council you've really let the place go to the dogs.

I'm happy for Simon from the Greens. Maybe he can influence some people in the council to close the centre fo traffic and make it pedestrian zone with some cycling lanes.
