If you’re still looking for ideas to entertain the kids and fill the time during the Easter Holidays, then take some inspiration from this round-up guide to what's on offer in St Albans below:

Willows Farm Village

is offering it’s usual wide range of farm-based fun and activities.

Plus, over the holidays children can join in an Easter Egg Hunt and

Bunny Hunt for a free chocolate reward! The visitor attraction also has a

new JCB Young Drivers Zone, which opened for the holidays.

The Inn on the Park

are organising an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 24th April. The Easter

bunny will be in residence and there is also arts and crafts and face

painting fun to be had. Tickets can be bought in advance.

Pots of Art

on Hollywell Hill give children and adults the chance to paint their

own pottery. Their unique designs are then glazed and fired ready for

collection a week later. If the weather forecast doesn’t look too

clever, you’re advised to book a table in advance!

The Maltings Arts Theatre

is showing Robin Hood (12A) on Thursday 14th April at 2pm and How To

Train Your Dragon (U) is being screened on Saturday 16th April at 2pm.

Tickets are available to book in advance .

Verulamium Museum is offering 2-hour Easter Holiday Activities sessions

until 14th April with the theme of ‘Ancient Worlds’. The sessions for

8-13 year olds cost £5 and are bookable and payable in advance. Plus,

there is a story time and Easter egg Hunt on Saturday 23rd April, from

3pm – 4pm, for those under 7. It costs £1and children must be

accompanied by an adult.

DJ’s Jungle,

the indoor adventure playground off St Albans Road, on the outskirts of

Sandridge is an option for rainy days. The soft-play facility has

recently been taken over and has already undergone some improvements to

the seating area. Plus they are now offering a healthy lunch box food

option.

Butterfly World reopened its doors for the 2011 season last Friday, 8th April. There are a number of special events on for children throughout the Easter Holidays, and throughout April all admissions are reduced to £5, with under 3’s going in for free.

Head for Verulamium Park and check out the new adizone outdoor gym with your kids. It's opposite the swings and although it opened in December, the fair-weather crowd are only just discovering it. Have fun, keep fit and all for free!

Salisbury Tennis Club in the Fleetville area has Junior Easter Camps for 4-12 year olds on 14th, 19th and 20th April. See website for more details.

Lottery funding means that the Council-run ‘Play in the Parks’ events are once again at large across parks in St Albans, providing sports, drama, arts, crafts and games for 5-12 year olds. All the events are free, but under 8’s need to be accompanied by an adult. See the schedule at http://www.stalbans.gov.uk/playintheparks
