The 15th annual St. Albans Beer and Cider Festival will be held at the Alban Arena from noon on Wednesday the 29th of September to 11pm on Saturday the 2nd of October.

The event, organised by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), has grown to become of the most important British Beer and Cider tasting events, and gives visitors the opportunity to taste up to 350 British real ales.

Organisers say there will be a full range on offer at the event's six bars, including "First class beer from top class brewers from all over the UK and will

range in style from Milds and Bitters through Old Ales, Porters and

Stouts,

to Barley Wines not forgetting speciality Wheat Beers, Golden Beers,

Real Lagers, Fruit Beers and many others.

Being Hertfordshire's largest beer festival we will, subject to

supply, be showcasing beers from all the county's breweries."

There's also entertainment provided on Thursday, with St Albans band, The Runaway Boys, performing and the Climax Blues Band on Saturday night.

Last year, over 9000 people attended the festival and organisers expect this to be another great year. Tickets range from £2 to £4 and

can be booked through the box office on 01727 844488 or online at  http://www.alban-arena.co.uk.
