The White Hart in the ancient city of St Albans has a beautiful building and the service is exceptionally quick and friendly.

The standard of the accommodation takes a back seat to the overall quaint and charming ambience of the White Hart. The rooms are not modern with the sort of luxuries that chain hotels treat you to. However the facilities are all there; a good shower and everything is nice and clean. With 600 years of history, this original coaching inn is good for a few nights away, they even host haunted dinner evenings. Watch out for the little girl ghost who has been spotted playing around the hotel, freaky.

The White Hart is a lovely hotel in a good part of St Albans. The building is very charmingly historic and the food was pretty good too. The rooms are very nice for the price, which is pretty cheap, but the best bit is the fact that it has lots of character and the service is exemplary its not every hotel that claims to have numerous ghosts!
