St. Albans Festival Starts Friday

The St. Albans Festival, an annual celebration of the role of St. Albans in the creation of the Magna Carta, kicks off this Friday - 11 June 2010 - and runs until Sunday the 27th.
From 10am-4am on Friday, as well as again on Sunday from 1pm-5pm, there will be a special exhibit, including a replica of the Magna Carta itself, in the North Transept of St. Albans Cathedral.
The Old Court Room, located in the Old Town Hall, will be open and St. Albans Tour Guides will be running "Tales from the Gaols" tours between 10am and 4pm. Also in the Old Court Room will be Magna Carta Writing and Poetry Readings on Friday, with one for 7-11 year old at 4.30 and another for 12-18 year olds at 6.30pm.
At 7.30pm on Friday, Lord Bingham, form Lord Chief Justice, will give a publc talk in the Lady Chapel of the Cathedral - tickets are £10.

I was at the Dan Snow talk but unfortunately I learnt nothing about the Magna Carta. This is solely due to the fact that I couldn't take my eyes off Mr. Snow's rather magnificent thighs. Perhaps he'd be kind enough to come round my house and repeat the whole lecture for me? I'm sure all I need is a little personal tuition. I promise to concentrate this time. (On the Magna Carta, rather than Mr Snow's thighs.)
