St. Albans People held it's first meet-up last night at the Hare and Hound on Sopwell Lane. About 20 people, some of them members and regular visitors here, a few from the St. Albans flickr group, and a handful of twitter users turned out to meet up face to face.

There were free drinks and food on hand, provided by us here at St. Albans People, and an evening full of friendly conversation.

Some familar faces were in attendance - Mrs C and her husband Sam, Alex from Shedworking who came up with the idea to meet up in the first place, Patholio and Mike1727 who were original members of the St. Albans Flickr group, Ollie Benson, Tall Rich and others. There were also members of the St. Albans People team - Seamus, Maria and Zoe, as well as Matt Bigg - who we have to thank for running a tab behind the bar. There were many others although, having stayed until closing time myself all the names are just a wee bit hazy.

Thanks to everyone who turned up. It was, from my point of view, and based on the tweets about the evening, a really fun night for all. So when are we having the next one?
