Quality Restaurant in St Albans
The restaurant at the Black Lion is very good and the food is high quality. It's not cheap though and when I dined there I felt the service levels didn't match up to my expectations i.e. no one offered to take my coat. The decor is great and there's a nice bar to get a drink at. I'll be back but let's hope the service has improved!

savanna restaurant
the black lion inn used to be another pub at the bottom of fishpool street, however now, savanna restaurant offers an extremely exciting selection of local food served in lovely old englsh pub settings.
although the place is not cheap, the food is clearly thought about with care and the pigeon and quails egg starter is absoloutely amazing and probably my highlight of the meal.
