La Cosa is a great little restaurant, situated about a 5 minute walk from the station, it is very reasonably priced with pizza for as little as £7, and the staff are friendly and energetic. Great if you want good food fast.

I dont really know why they decided to name themselves after the mafia (maybe I dont want to know...), but I do know that this a lovely little Italian restaurant just off the centre of St Albans that is worth a look. There is nothing fancy about the decoration or the presentation just really high-quality, homemade Italian food, expertly cooked. The kind of place you eat at on holiday in Italy and then wish we had them back home.
la cosa nostra is definately a lovely authentic restaurant hidden away out from the town centre. the restaurant feels like you have stepped into someones italian front room for some dinner. the staff are friendly and helpful and clearly care about what they are doing. the food is well priced, homely and fills you up.
with such a choice in the 'normal' chain italians, la cosa nostra definately offers something a little more personal

ReportThis is a little gem of a restaurant - every neighbourhood should have one, but sadly doesn't. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food homemade and hearty and the atmosphere warm. Choose from classic pizza and pasta dishes, or go for one of the specials - the chicken with a cream and asparagus sauce is out of this world. Reasonably prices means eating out here can be a regular treat.
The best restaurant in St Albans. Friendly, neighbourhood feel which produces great Italian food. Also does takeaway! I have been there on many occassions and have never been let down. Brilliant.
