My favourite

After sampling some of the varied restaurants in Harpenden my husband & I chose Sazios for our Wedding Breakfast. The foods was excellent, as always, & the staff were extremely helpful. They let us send round our own tablecloths, flowers & table settings. It was the perfect day. Many thanks

Great Mother's Day Food!

We've just had a lovely family meal at Sazios for Mothers Day- the food was excellent (especially the fish) and there was something for everyone on the menu! The proce was really reasonable too (£17 for 3 courses!)

Sazio has never let us down

Such a shame this brilliant restaurant can't take over one of the better venues in the City centre. Sazio's reputation for excellent service and value for money deserves a finer location here.

Delicious Italian in Harpenden

The menu at Sazios in Harpenden is absolutely delicious; it features a broad range of food, from an excellent Fillet steak to tasty pizzas and pastas. It is the perfect place to relax after work. The staff is friendly and knows how to cater for families with children.

Grey Tuna

We arrived as a party of 10 on a Friday evening without a booking, and the staff were very accommodating in putting together a long table for us - our party included 6 children.

Sazio has a nice ambience. From the front door it gives the impression you are going underground, but in fact the restaurant is bright and airy and nicely designed, so it is worth giving a try if you haven't been here before

The food rating is based on the experience of the group as a whole. I have just one gripe.

I ordered the Tuna steak with chilli and pepper couscous and onion marmalade. I asked for the tuna medium rare. When it arrived it was cooked all the way through, so I asked for another steak, only to be told it would be impossible to provide a steak that was pink in the middle as their supplier provided it 'grey'. Now that can only happen if Yellow fin tuna is over 12 days old, or it has been kept excessivley on ice, which 'burns' the flesh. The waitress was clearly getting annoyed with me for insisting the meat should be pink, and in the end
I capitulated and ate the steak, which did taste good and wasn't too dry. But I mark down Sazio on the fact that it was unable to provide a fresh tuna steak. Get a new fish supplier!

with the huge choice of restaurants in the area, picking a chain is never really an option i would do. sazio however offers great lunch options as well as early evening meals. with a great location in the middle of town, it is easy to get to from most places.

it is also a nice place to be located away from any starring eyes of walkers by.

It's good.

It's a nice place and food is good, what you order is what you get. What is nice is that you are not sitting in a shop front window when you are enjoying sitting with your friends talking.

This is a great place to go for lunch. They always have fantastic offers and a good place to relax mid way through a shopping trip. Good for kids too!
