I always use them too. In fact, can't think of the last time I used another local taxi firm in St. Albans. I'd say that out of the last 50 bookings, they arrived on time, or a few minutes early, on all but two or three occasions - and believe me, as someone who has used lots of taxi firms in different cities all over the UK and Europe, that's an astonishingly high rate of reliability when it comes to taxis. Would be happy to recommend. In fact, I think I just have.

    Reliable. Sometimes.

       

    I usually use Gold Line Taxis and think that they offer an affordable and timely service around the St Albans area. However, yesterday after calling their 01727 833 333 number being told a taxi would arrive in 5 minutes, I was quite surprised when none arrived after 15 minutes. After calling again, I was told that the driver had been called to a different job (more important that mine?) and another taxi would be dispatched in a few minutes. 10 minutes went by, nothing. After 30 minutes of trying to call them and waiting, I went with a different taxi cab. They offered no explanation or apology. Quite disappointing considering I've been a loyal customer for years. My view: if they don't arrive soon, they probably won't arrive at all.

    Reliable Taxi Firm in St Albans

       

    Gold Line are a reliable taxi company. I have only used them for local journeys in St Albans but should I need a taxi run to the airport at any point in the future, they would be my first port of call.

    I run a local guest house in st albans and we now use Goldline / Abbey Astar as our preferred companies always on time and alway turn up no matter rain, snow etc, Good customer service and nothing is ever too much trouble... Well recommended...

    Really helpful when had to take cats to vets, pricing seems ok and pretty good on response times, and as for calling you to come out, that is standard across taxi firms

    I always call Gold Line Taxis for short trips into town. I also think they have best prices for the Heathrow and Luton airport run.
